Beginning with the Class of 2023, Tarleton State University will provide annual scholarships and guarantee admission to select Del Valle Independent School District high school seniors.
Trustees approved the purchase of 149 acres of land to be used for the district’s second high school and future schools. Funding for the land purchase was approved in May by voters as part of the district’s 2022 Bond program.
More than 1000 Del Valle High School Juniors and Seniors explored some options for post-secondary education at a college fair held on campus Thursday, October 27.
The Del Valle High School boys cross country team took first place and the girls team third place in the Del Valle Invitational on September 29.
On Tuesday, September 20, 2022 the Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees approved the proposed maximum Maintenance & Operations tax rate of $.8546 and the Interest & Sinking tax rate of $.3300 for a total maximum tax rate of $1.1846 for 2022.
Personal finance website, Wallethub, listed Del Valle ISD as the 24th most equitable district in Texas. The ranking puts DVISD near the top of the list of more than 1,000 Texas school districts.
